How do I set up my delivery area?
In the dashboard under Settings > Delivery zones. You can define zones by postal code or by radius (in km). Each zone has its own delivery fees and minimum order values. Changes go live immediately.
Can I have multiple delivery zones with different fees?
Yes. You can create as many zones as you like — e.g. 0–3 km free, 3–5 km €2.50, 5–8 km €4.50. Each zone has its own fees and minimum order values.
Which is better: postal code or radius?
Postal code is more precise and better for urban areas. Radius is simpler to set up and suited for rural areas. You can combine both methods.
Can I restrict delivery areas by time?
Yes. You can tie delivery zones to specific opening hours — e.g. the 5–8 km zone only from 11:00–14:00. Outside those hours customers do not see the zone.
What happens if a customer orders from outside the delivery area?
Customers outside your delivery zones only see the pickup option. They cannot select delivery. The address check happens automatically during checkout.
Can I set a minimum order value per zone?
Yes. Each delivery zone has its own minimum order value. If an order is below the threshold, a notice is displayed and the order cannot be completed.
How do I change my delivery area later?
Any time in the dashboard. Add zones, adjust fees, change minimum order values — all changes take effect immediately for new orders.
Can I offer delivery and pickup at the same time?
Yes. Customers choose between delivery and pickup when placing their order. You configure both independently — with separate time slots and conditions.
Does GastroSystem support delivery by bicycle?
Yes. The integrated FahrerSystem is vehicle-independent — bicycle, scooter, car. You assign drivers to zones and track deliveries in real time via GPS.
Can I exclude specific streets or areas?
Currently zone configuration is based on postal codes and radius. Individual streets cannot be excluded. However, you can create very granular postal code zones to control coverage.
How many delivery zones can I create?
Unlimited. The Professional plan has no limit on the number of delivery zones. You can create as many zones as makes sense for your catchment area.
Are delivery fees shown during checkout?
Yes. As soon as the customer enters their address, the delivery fee is automatically calculated and displayed in the cart — transparent before the order is placed.
